Holy cow! Shortly after I wrote the last time the police showed up (the only good looking Chileans I have seen so far) and then the Chilean special forces showed up with their helmets and guns. They took down the barricade that the students had created from desks, broken glass and tiles stripped from the floor. (super noisy) All the teachers watched as the students were escorted down the stairs one by one accompanied by a special force police person. They were driven to jail in big green trucks. There were 126 students in total that barricaded themselves on the top floor. Who knows how class will run tomorrow with no desks...yikes!
